He played mid afternoon at the DJmag Party at The Shelborne in Miami and then snuck up into our Pioneer condo to see how he could run Traktor through the DJM-900 nexus using just one USB lead! The DJM-900 nexus faders, knobs and switches can then be assigned in Traktor to control the internal effects. Building on the creative options this offered, he then marvelled at the new Color FX such as Space, Dub Echo and White Noise.

Alex Niggemann, fresh from playing the DJmag Pool Party at The Shelborne Hotel, receives a hands-on walk through the possibilities afforded by the CDJ-2000 and rekordbox prepared tracks.

Resident rekordbox whizz-kid Rik Parkinson shows Alex quantized looping where tracks can be looped in the mix and will always stay perfectly in time, as well as tagging tracks and one-decimal place BPM accuracy that allows the DJ to line up the BPM's on both CDJ's for a perfect mix every time.
